Where Wasps Can Be Found
Wasp nests can be found inside and outside your home. They like to make their nests in ready-made compact spaces; insulation in lofts, chimneys, garages and wall cavities are all common places to find a wasp or hornet nest.
Outdoors they are often found in hollow trees and retired burrows. If you are seeing a number of wasps coming and going from a certain area it is likely that there is a nest nearby. At this point, you do need to get in touch with the experts who will safely and efficiently remove the wasps from your home.
Removing The Nest
Many people believe that simply removing the nest will eradicate the wasp infestation. However, this isn’t the case. It is the wasps inside that need to be treated to prevent them stinging and in fact re-nesting nearby.
Moving the nest will simply provoke the wasps causing a very dangerous situation of a number of wasps, sometimes thousands, ready to sting anyone in the vicinity before finding a new place to nest
What We Do
Our team are trained specialists in removing pests such as wasps and hornets. First, the nest will be assessed and the type of treatment required can then be determined. It may be necessary to treat the entire nest or just the entry points.
Either way, the important thing is that the wasps or hornets inside the nest are treated. The poison used will kill the wasps or hornets, but at first, it does allow them to crawl into the nest thus killing the other wasps inside including the queen.
